چکیده
Abstract. The meta-plot is a descriptive visual tool for meta-analysis that provides information on the primary studies in and results of meta-analysis. More precisely, portrays (1) precision statistical power meta-analysis, (2) estimate confidence interval random-effects (3) cumulative yielding robustness check meta-analytic effect size with respect to studies’ precision, (4) evidence publication bias. After explaining underlying logic theory, applied two cherry-picked meta-analyses appear be biased 10 randomly selected from psychological literature. We recommend accompanying any common measures meta-plot.

Graphical augmentations to the funnel plot assess the impact of additional evidence on a meta-analysis.
OBJECTIVE We aim to illustrate the potential impact of a new study on a meta-analysis, which gives an indication of the robustness of the meta-analysis. STUDY DESIGN AND SETTING A number of augmentations are proposed to one of the most widely used of graphical displays, the funnel plot. Namely, 1) statistical significance contours, which define regions of the funnel plot in which a new study ...

Clustering is an important data exploration task. A prominent clustering algorithm is agglomerative hierarchical clustering. Roughly, in each iteration, it merges the closest pair of clusters. It was rst proposed way back in 1951, and since then there have been numerous mod-iications. Some of its good features are: a natural, simple, and non-parametric grouping of similar objects which is capab...

We discuss the implications of the recent upward revision of the LMC microlensing rate by the MACHO Collaboration. We conclude: (i) A good case for the existence of baryonic dark matter in the halo has been made; (ii) The case for the existence of cold dark matter is unaffected and still compelling; and (iii) The Galactic halo is still an excellent place to search for cold dark matter particles...

The dilator function of the vascular endothelium is critical for optimal tissue perfusion, and this is brought into stark reality in a number of diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, and preeclampsia, in which endothelium-dependent vasodilator function is impaired. Prostacyclin and nitric oxide (NO) were the earliest identified endothelium-dependent vasodilators, but it was soon found that ...
